Life has stories worth remembering – family rituals, familiar places, hard lessons and turning points that shape who people are.
In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to turn personal memories and family stories into vivid, meaningful writing.
Through guided prompts, simple storytelling techniques and reflective exercises, they will explore how to evoke memory and organise life experiences into a compelling narrative.
They will also learn how to interview family members and preserve stories for future generations.

Felix Cheong is the bestselling author of more than 30 books across different genres, from poetry to fiction, from children’s picture books to young adult fiction. He has also published ten graphic novels, three of which were shortlisted for the Singapore Book Awards.
Conferred the Young Artist Award in 2000 by the National Arts Council, Felix has been invited to writers’ festivals all over the world, such as Edinburgh, Austin, Sydney, Brisbane and Christchurch. He holds a master's in creative writing from the University of Queensland and is currently a university adjunct lecturer.
