EDITORIAL DIRECTOR
A journalist of more than 30 years, Ken's key skills are in writing, editing, design and simplifying complex issues for a broad spectrum of society.
He is founding Editor of two newspapers — The New Paper on Sunday and Streats — and a socio-political magazine styled on the Economist called Lexean.
He began his career in The Straits Times and was in the team that launched The Singapore Monitor and The New Paper, where he has held a variety of senior editing positions. He is also Chief Creative Strategist with SPH Content Lab. Together with Lee Hup Kheng and Kelvin Chan, he is an accredited Associate Lecturer at the Civil Service College and head trainer with STJobs.
DIGITAL EDITOR
Satoko specialises in cutting-edge graphic and web design, and development.
She has more than 15 years of visual design/coding experience in online publishing, advertising and custom software development. She is especially passionate about people-centred design processes for interactive systems.
She has developed websites, mobile apps and digital infographics for AsiaOne, Asia's leading news portal.
Her work has won international recognition, including top awards at the Asian Digital Media Awards, the Annual Communicator Awards and WAN-IFRA.
Infographics Editor : The Straits Times
Hup was the Infographic and Design Chief of The New Paper, Singapore for over three decades. He then went on to be the Creative Director for Think Inc and Sweet for two years, providing media solutions, visuals, video and digital graphics. Currently, he is the Infographic Editor of the English, Malay, Tamil Murasu Visual department of Singapore Press Holdings overseeing graphics for for the English, Malay and Tamil Murasu newspapers in Singapore. Hup clinched the coveted SPH's Journalist of the Year in 2010. He dabbles in cartooning an is also a well-known Singapore cartoonist, having created the adorable What's Hup comic. His political cartoons were exhibited in Tokyo, Dubai, Jakarta, Manila and Kuala Lumpur. He created the iconic mascots Water Wally for PUB and Singa for the 1993 SEA Games. Hup has won the Sopa, Ifra and Panpa awards for his infographics.
