Teacher Brandon is an ardent teacher at Write Edge. He graduated with a First Class Honours degree in English Literature from NTU and qualified for the Dean’s List. He values critical and inventive thinking in both reading and writing, sparing no effort to help students decipher passages and wield the pen with eloquence.
Teacher Farshad is an English Literature major in Nanyang Technological University and he also minors in Creative Writing. He aims to bring out the creativity in every child and equip them with the necessary skills and tools that will allow them to communicate freely and accurately in their writing. On top of that, he aims to provide a healthy working space for students to approach any task with confidence. Ultimately, confidence breeds success and success breeds confidence.
For Teacher Christina, it all began when she started a personal diary. Despite initial fumbles, she found herself more and more in love with writing and how she could express herself simply yet powerfully through words.
Having taught for six years in a Ministry of Education (MOE) primary school, she was involved in programmes centred on literacy and literature, including taking up the role of a School Dyslexia Remediation (SDR) Coach. She particularly enjoys teaching writing to her students as they often provide fresh perspectives drawn from their different experiences.
Dynamic and approachable, she believes that experimentation is key to creativity. She is a firm believer of Dweck’s growth mindset theory and that with the right guidance and mindset, each child can improve and excel.
Teacher Seraphine is a curriculum writer and teacher with more than 16 years’ experience in mainstream and private education.
Her approach to teaching English is systematic, breaking concepts down into smaller, manageable components. She believes that humour and anecdotes are effective tools in language acquisition so her lessons are dynamic and entertaining.
